Education in Algeria is free and compulsory for Algerians from the ages of 6 to 15. In August 2015 the Ministry of Education instructed all school administrators to allow migrant and refugee children to enroll in primary school through high school and require only that they present their passport and documentation showing their level of schooling from their home country. Adult education is also available at many universities. In addition, organizations and community centers provide both short and long term workshops and courses e.g. management, life skills courses, sports and arts.
